Re: Aluminum Pole Price Increase
This letter is to provide American Flagpole Sales Representatives and Customers with notice of a possible price increase of 10%, driven by increased material costs.
In January 2008, the Mid-West daily transaction closing price average for aluminum ingot was $1.1030. As of close of business last week, it has risen to $1.5230, a 38% increase.
American Flagpole acknowledges that any price increase may risk some existing orders and/or customers, and we will place great effort in working with our customers to minimize the impact of any cost increase. We anticipate that our customers will also be willing to support American Flagpole during this period of uncertainty with regard to increasing raw materials and transportation costs.
